Back home in South Carolina we are known for our full-flavored barbeques. No one was better at cooking these mouth-watering recipes than “The Seed”, my grandmother Ola Mae. She would lovingly blend garden fresh herbs and spices with hot and sweet chili peppers to make the secret ingredient in many of our family dishes. She would use it in chili and chicken soup on those cold winter days. She used it on the mouth-watering spare ribs she grilled at our summer picnics. She also used it to create fantastic Sunday and holiday meals with a variety of sea foods, roasts and vegetables. Admittedly, as a young boy and even to this day, I loved to use it as a dipping sauce on plain ol’ potato chips. I have recreated this absolutely necessary sauce under the Snido-Mite label.
